The office will open for tax season soon.

The IRS will begin accepting electronic tax returns on a date to be announced soon. 

By law, the IRS cannot issue refunds before mid-to-late-February for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. This applies to the entire refund, even the portion not associated with these credits.

The IRS federal tax filing deadline is April 15, 2026. Louisiana's state tax filing deadline is  May 15, 2026.

Please file an extension if you are not able to make an appointment after April 10, 2026
